In Mar 2019 Yossi co-founded and is serving as the CEO of MediCane Health Inc. a fully integrated global pharmaceutical company that intends to provide broad access to innovative and high quality medical and pharmaceutical cannabis medications to patients in need around the globe.
From mid-2016 until Feb 2019 Yossi served as Senior Vice President and President of EURAM (Europe, Russia, Africa and Middle East) region for Merck & Co., Inc. (known as MSD outside the U.S. and Canada). Yossi successfully led a $4B business covering more than 100 countries. From August of 2013 until May 2016 Yossi has served as a Senior Vice President and as President of Merck’s Diversified Brands Customer Business Line (CBL). Yossi was tasked with P&L responsibility for Merck’s multi-billion USD off-patent originals portfolio of products spanning more than 10 different therapy areas and operational hubs in NJ-USA, Lucerne-Switzerland and Shanghai-China.
From August 2010 until August 2013, Yossi BenAmram served as Vice President and General Manager of Emerging Market (EM) operations. Yossi's team was tasked with the development of the EM strategy, Commercial Innovation initiatives and sales & marketing capability building. From October 2007 until July 2010, Yossi served as a Vice President and Global Brand Leader for Respiratory products including the blockbusters SINGULAIRÒ and NASONEXÒ and between 2000 -2007 served and the Managing Director of MSD in Israel.
Prior to joining Merck in 1998, Yossi held several positions at TEVA Pharmaceuticals. He holds an MBA and a B.A. in Economics and Management from the Recanati Graduate School of Business Administration, Tel Aviv University, Tel Aviv, Israel.
